Mark Harvey is a professional equine photographer. Taking photos has been a passion for Mark since a very early age. In 1999 Mark went to the University of East Anglia (UEA) where he completed a degree in Ecology, studying in Marseille and The Caribbean. This allowed him to develop his interest in nature photography. It wasn't until his final year of his Ecology degree that he realised his heart was truly in photography.

After graduation and with great determination Mark decisively embarked on a professional career in photography. He intently started photographing stage productions, portraits, animals, sports and almost anything he could point a camera at. Six years on Mark has developed a unique and confident photographic style, especially with horses.

National Geographic selected Mark’s horse photography for a book which was published in 2009. This summer Mark was also filmed by National Geographic, documenting his life as a horse photographer.

Mark’s passion for photography and horses has been overwhelming and as a result, he is kept very busy doing what he has always truly dreamt of doing. As well as commissioned work, Mark is also developing his own personal projects, some of which he hopes to publish in the near future. He lives and works in Cambridge, England.
